Most of the assembly can be done by one person. The shelves may need a clamp or someone to hold the items while one fastens them. The items are no heavy, awkward to hold and assemble at the same time. The instructions indicate that you should use two people to mount the TV to the stand. This is good advice. Due to the variances in the TV make and model, it might be best to have extension HDMI and or USB cables available. When I place the TV on the stand the first time. I found it difficult to connect devices. By connecting extension cables first, then placing the TV on the stand, it was much easier to connect external devices.
